A Capital Athletic Conference (or even CAC) is an intercollegiate athletic conference connected by owning a NCAA’s Division Tierce. Member institutions come in the eastern United States in the States of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C..

A CAC sponsors intercollegiate athletic contest within men's baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, women's field hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women’s soccer, women's softball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, and women's volleyball.
